Our Story

Partings
At this rather depressing juncture, Bapak Ralph would like to share with u stories of my own class.

my own class was never very high in spirit, but through the influence of two key players the rest managed to bond together as a class. If not for them, my class would have split right from the start. Unfortunately, these two had to leave after jae, together with some others. Effectively, half the class was changed. The 2nd intake, many of them never clicked with us and kept to themselves for the rest of 2 yrs. And because the main players were no longer there, the class fragmented fast. Into 4 groups. Class outings were a group affair more than class. We never even got to setting up a blog. In this pathetic state we carried on for the rest of 2 yrs. Even now, i'm only in touch with a few people.

however your class seems different. Yes there are certain lines of weaknesses here and there, but the different groups seem to merge well enough. And the 'power' is spread out in your class. There are definitely more than 2 key players. Although one might be leaving, i don't think the class will fragment as fast as long as the 'leaders' work in roping in everyone. Also, for those leaving, who said that fwenships have to end there? I recently just talked to one of my 1st 3 mth classmate who left. JC yrs are where you guys can form still relatively innocent but longer lasting fwenships. As long as things remain both sided fwenships will continue. Ask the people who left along for any outing, and maybe even intro to the new ones. What is important for those still in class, is also to rope in the second batch. Usually these disconcerted people if left alone, will always remain separate from the rest.

Another thing is, in JC classes there's always alot of ostracising. This will definitely impact class spirit no matter how few. Just like how you dun wan others to ostra u, dun do it to others. Some people might seem weird or socially inept. As long as it's not gonna hurt you, try to integrate them. Your class doesn seem to be as bad as mine, so im confident it will work out.

lastly, to those who have to leave, dun mourn, continue forward. Fwens, if they are sincere, will always be in contact. They will never forget you. This is what class spirit is.
