In Aid of the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund

Inspire is a student-initiated project aimed at raising awareness and funds for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. Inspire ‘07: Arts aims to help the Straits Times Pocket Money Fund while furthering other areas we feel equally passionate about- inspiring the youth of today, and promoting the arts. We hope to encourage other young adults, including the beneficiaries of the Straits Times Pocket Money Fund, to chase their dreams, be it as aspiring artistes or otherwise, through showing them anything is possible. And we need your help for this.

Brace yourself for the first ever Inspire ‘07 concert! Featuring some of the many young talents in Singapore, it will be an evening of heart-stopping beats and jaw dropping moves, entirely organized and performed by youths.

Featuring: Singapore Ballet Academy, Lindy Hop Ensemble, SYF 2007 Gold with Honours winner, Hwa Chong Institution Music and Dance Club , popular hip-hop crew, The iLLers, local talent Amanda Tee, Rocky Waters, Patent Pending, RJC String Quartet, contemporary theatre from ACSian Theatre, among others.

Tickets are priced at $10, $15, $25 and $100. $100 tickets are special charity tickets for people who would like to make a larger donation.

GEMs --- chocolate making !!!!!
oh my... i realised that i almost forgot to post a reflection on GEMS which was compulsory.. so here we go...


the ingredients for making the chocolate fondue...includes stawberries,grapes,bananas,cakes,marshmallows,biscuits and chocolate of course..

3 things we learnt:

1. the ingredients needed to create the perfect chocolate fondue

2. how to go about melting the chocolate..( first add half the given cream in and stir with chocolate, once the chocolate is roughly melt,add in the remaining cream)

3. how to place your ingredients to make the whole thing looks appealing -.-

CHALET CONFIRMED DATES!!

after today's survey cum poll, the finalised details of the chalet which we are going to book are:

1) 3D2N, 1 room (welovetosqueeze)
2) Coasta Sands Pasir Ris (November Weekday Package = $138 with member)
3) Mon Tue and Wed 12th to 14th Nov (after PWs)
4) Not combining with senior class's chalet, but we might invite them over on one of those days so we can go sentosa together to hav fun!

ok we will try to confirm the booking asap.. with the help of Peijin
thanks to everyone for their enthusiasm for indicating that all of u all are staying over (probably)!

chalet dates!!!!!
hi everyone..

after today's discussion..
conclusion:
1) the class wants a chalet!!! :D
2) most people want a 3D 2N chalet (more fun)
3) we are nt fussy about the longer walk from the pasir ris chalets to teh shops area since its cheaper than downtown east! (by quite alot)
4) we want it held after everything due for us this year is over! (after PW)


ok.. so the choice now is: 3D 2N and 2 rooms costa sands pasir ris chalet (november weekday promotion package), held on 2nd week of november.. 3 of the 5 days of the weekdays of the week (12th to 15th).

problems faced:
1) anyone who has parents who are NTUC card members? we can get this low price only if we are members :(
2) should it be mon tue wed or tue wed thu?
3) we can only confirm the final price after we booked, but it is around $278 if im not wrong


SO, do cooperate and sms me or cheryl about the dates when u all can make it, stating whether u all wnat it mon tue wed or tue wed thu!! (SUPER IMPT!!), so that we can book it as fast as possible. this package is cheap so we hav to act fast ya?? :P

hey guys, as you know, we'll be having our GEMS tml... pls rmb to bring a spoon,a bowl and a rag for cleanup...best not to share if you want to haf ur own chocolate to work on...and somebody pls bing a camera so we need to post an entry on our GEMS as said by the teacher-in-charge...thnx lots :)
